But, the pass
percentage decline since 2009, because of many political or other issues. And
the Telangana issue is a main reason for this decline pass percentage.
Because Osmania
University students
actively took part in agitations from November 2009 to March 2012, leading to
frequent disruptions of academic activities in the colleges and in private
degree colleges affiliated to it.
The pass percentage
in 2009 is 55.59%, which remain static till 2010, 55.86%. But from
2011 this pass percentage again slipped below 50 percentage, in 2011 the pass
percentage is 49.22%, and in 2012 the pass percentage again falls
to 42.60%.
After getting
little more improvement in pass percentage in 2013, Prof S. Satyanarayana, vice-chancellor, OU
said "Though the pass percentage is less than 50 per cent this year,
we have improved by six per cent over last year. This is a positive sign. We
are confident of achieving better results next year."
